The Eufy 11S is one the most affordable self-emptying robot vacuums that are available. In our tests it was able clean up dry oats on hard floors and carpets with low pile. The dust bin opens and empty easily, making it easier to use than some other models at its price range.

It recharges at the base and resumes cleaning when it's ready. Its obstacle-avoidance technology gets caught in socks and cords and it is unable to reach low thresholds.

1. iRobot 11S

The 11S is among the cheapest self-emptying robots and lots of people seem to adore it. It is great at moving under furniture and is a good choice for those with hard floors or who do a lot of cleaning. Its suction might be a little weaker than the suction of our top picks, however it's still able to get the job accomplished. It also has a large dirt bin and a battery which lasts for more than an hour. The app allows you to schedule your daily cleaning routine, or select a specific room. It's also possible to draw a map of your home, which will help the device avoid areas you don't want to go to.

The app is simple to use and has a simple layout. It doesn't include any advanced features, but it's simple enough to use and allows you to keep track of the progress of your robot. It also comes with a helpful tutorial to help you understand the basics.

The RoboVac 11S from Eufy is another good alternative for regular vacuuming. It's designed in a similar way to our top pick and it excels in removing small particles and dirt on hard flooring. It's a great choice on low-pile or best self-emptying vacuum medium-pile carpet. Similar to the Roomba by iRobot Roomba, it has a very large dirt compartment and uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It comes with a simple remote control, and you can set up daily cleanings with the app. Its battery lasts for about an hour and the dustbin can be cleaned without taking it from the dock.

2. Roborock S7 maxV Ultra

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot mop and vacuum is an excellent robot with an array of amazing automation features. The Roborock S7 MaxV comes in three different versions that include the basic S7 model, the S7 Plus model, and the S7 Ultra. Only the latter comes with an Empty Wash Fill Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its home base after a cleaning session, empty the collected debris into a dust collection bag or reservoir, drain its clogged water tank and clean its mopping pad.

Sensors on the S7 work together to clean and eliminate obstacles. It can identify flooring types and save a map for rooms and zones. It can even detect dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and executing spot cleaning sessions. It performed well in our standard tests, but it wasn't able to quite match the iRobot Roomba j7+ in our carpet deep clean test.

You can program the S7 by using the companion app to run a cleaning cycle according to your schedule. You can select a cleaning mode, such as eco or automatic, and the day, week, or time. You can also select whether the robot will stop if it is running out of power or comes across an obstacle.

You can still use the S7 if you don't own a smartphone by connecting the charging dock to the remote control. The controls are confusing at first but they're very efficient after you've become accustomed to them. The power button acts as an 'Cleaning' button and the Spot Clean button directs the robot to clean the area around it. The 'Spot Clean' button also activates the child lock.

Roborock's mobile app has been improved to include a live view function that allows you to see what the S7 does at home. 3. Shark IQ Large

Shark's robot vacuums aren't as well-known as those made by iRobot or Roborock. However, our tests have shown that this model is among the most efficient self-emptying vacuums that are available. It's simple to set up and has a large bin which can be easily emptied (albeit loudly) to a trashcan when full. It can also be programmed to sweep the entire home on a regular basis.

The IQ XL can connect to your home WiFi that lets you monitor it via the Shark app and check its battery status as it cleans. However, we couldn't determine that any of the modes made a huge difference in cleaning performance.

The Shark IQ XL is a excellent vacuum cleaner. It does a decent job of cleaning floors with no dust and can move well. However, the Shark IQ XL feels a bit less sturdy than the Roomba 694. It's effective in cleaning carpeted floors but doesn't match the iRobot Roomba i7 when it comes to bare floor performance. The i7 also feels more sturdy, is more durable and requires less maintenance. It has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has comparable battery performance. It also comes with more advanced automation features, such as no-go areas and the ability select specific rooms to be cleaned.

4. iRobot J7+

This robot vac and mop combo is a rare beast that can perform both tasks efficiently. iRobot Combo J7+ comes with all the smarts and features similar to its j7 counterpart including LiDAR map and self-emptying. But it also offers additional features for mopping and vacuuming.

The new acoustic sensors assist the j7+ recognize floor types, so it can decide between vacuuming and mopping on the first pass through an area. It also utilizes this information to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpet and rug flooring over rooms with hard floors.

Like many robotic vacuums, the j7+ is quiet while it's running. It's even less noisy when it's mopping. The maximum reading on our decibel meter was 64db, which is similar to the background noise of office chatter.

It is easy to set up a cleaning schedule and change the way that dust is cleaned when the canister is full. The j7+ can also be controlled by voice assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant and other. The app allows you to create and view maps from your home.

The j7+ performed admirably in our tests on both hard and carpeted floors, getting rid of most of the dirt we threw its way. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large pieces of debris and sand. But it is able to remove them with a bit more effort. It has excellent navigational capabilities and two cliff sensors that keep it from falling down the stairs or getting caught on furniture legs.

The J7+ has some small flaws, namely that it can be caught on cords or rugs and doesn't always switch off the mopping feature when it's done vacuuming. This is a great model that ticks off all the boxes.

iRobot J7+ is one of the best robot vacuum and mop combo self empty auto-emptying systems we've ever tested. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust canister into the base station, where it automatically emptys for you. This will reduce the amount of trash that you need to get rid of. You will only have to replace the bag at the dock once every 60 days, depending on the frequency you use the J7+.
